Chemonics International, a Washington DC-based firm, seeks highly qualified Community Mobilization Managers for the anticipated five-year, $70-80 million USAID-funded Afghanistan Initiative for Hygiene, Sanitation, and Nutrition (IHSAN) Project. The Community Mobilization Managers will be based in 4 regional hubs (Heart-West, Mazar-North, Jalalabad-East, and Kandahar-South). IHSAN focuses on improving the nutritional status of women of reproductive health and children less than five years old. IHSAN has three objectives: to enhance the capacity to institutionalize nutrition programs, to increase the adoption of optimal nutrition and hygiene behaviors at community and household levels, and to increase the availability of nutrition, hygiene, and sanitation services and products increased.
