USAID Resources, Skills, and Capacities in Early Grade Reading in Afghanistan is a twenty-month project designed to provide valuable information to USAID and the Afghan government regarding the current state of literacy among Afghan primary students. The data collected by this project will encourage broader discussion about challenges in early grade reading and help to shape the design and implementation of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA’s) efforts to improve early grade reading outcomes.

In support of the RSC-EGR objectives, RSI Consulting (RSI) will administer the EGRA and SMES surveys and data collection, providing data entry and data collection quality assurance, and data reporting from all 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
