Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee is a prominent international humanitarian organization working in relief, rehabilitation, protection, post-conflict development, resettlement services and advocacy for those uprooted or affected by violent conflict and oppression.

The IRC is currently developing its next 5 year strategy based on its mission to help people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future and do so in terms of safety, health, education, economic well-being and power.  In view of IRC’s expanding its current livelihoods work, it is looking for a specialist in economic development in terms of livelihoods.
