Hagar Afghanistan is currently seeking a qualified person for the position of Community Education Assistant to assist with the implementation of the programme: “Filling the Gap: Psychosocial Responses for Afghan IDP Survivors”.
The “Filling the Gap” Programme aims to develop and deliver community-based psychosocial care for conflict–induced returning refugees and/or internally displaced persons survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) living in Kabul’s informal settlements. Key objectives include: 1) strengthening referral pathways, 2) establishing centres where SGBV survivors can access psychosocial support and strengthen their ability for self-help, 3) establishing an emergency safe home to provide short-term protection and security, and 4) engaging community leaders in discussions of SGBV and other key human rights issues. The Programme will adopt a participatory approach, heavily engaging with the beneficiary community and local partners in the design and execution of all activities.

Remuneration: $400 - $500 USD/month (depending upon experience and qualifications) + benefits.
Contract length: One year with possibility of renewal
