The program for Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion (SEDEP) supports agro-based value chains in six northern provinces of Afghanistan. Increase of income and creation of new jobs is addressed in this program through capacity building, provision of infrastructure and the promotion of linkages and dialogues processes that includes farmers, processors, traders, service suppliers as well representative of business membership and governmental institutions. The approach combines activities at national, provincial and district level.
