USAID’s Regional Agricultural Development Program (RADP) - South aims to improve food and economic security for rural Afghans. The overall objective of the program is to improve the productivity and profitability for targeted value chains in the wheat, high-value crop, and livestock sectors. This sustainable agriculture program will support the consolidation of licit economies to fuel economic growth, including providing alternatives to poppy cultivation. The RADP-South program will be co-located between Kabul, which will serve as the operational center of the program, and Kandahar, which will serve as the base for technical implementation. Under CLIN 4 “Enabling Environment,” the program will achieve sustainable and sustained improvements in the legal, regulatory, and policy environments affecting value chain development and economic growth.
