Afghanistan Independent Rehabilitation Organization (AIRO) has come into existence in 2003, registered with the Afghan Government “Ministry of Economy”. Reviewing the three decades of war which ruined the entire systems of the country and has put the country in a devastating situation, the prolonged conflicts/unrests and faction wars has further ruined most of the physical and social infrastructures of Afghanistan. A dedicated team of individuals found a need to establish a structure through which they can offer their professional services to the Afghan venerable community. AIRO is having strong commitment towards the re-building of Afghanistan through its honest efforts and through the generous support of the international community to serve the desperate fractions of the community and make sure that adequate attention is paid to the human rights specially women’s, Youths, disables, returnees and other helpless groups. Vision: AIROs responsibility is to continually improve all aspects of the livelihood of Afghan communities which we operate in, - environment, social, economic - creating a better tomorrow than today. Our vision is put into action through implementing “Rehabilitation Projects in Afghanistan” mostly relevant to our communities’ demands/desires. We focus on environmental stewardship. AIRO will inspire its employees to be the best they can be. We will engage in sustainable practices and anticipate the needs of our needy people. We will maximize return to the stockholders while still maintaining quality control in our daily services to people. Mission: Our mission is to serve as a development Non-Profit Organization working to fill multi-faced contributions to Afghan communities through implementing rehabilitation projects. We are committed to create lasting solutions to poverty, unemployment’s and empowering youths (males/females) through certified/planned skills training programs. Enhance economic growth through implementing income generation projects in agricultural, social awareness , literacy for males/females.We are mainly focusing our activities on the following 15 Units to benefit society, and a commitment to build shareholder value by making AIRO a truly sustainable NGO.
