General objective of the position
The Provincial officer will be required to support the implementation of The Safhe Jaded: Implementing the Afghan NAP 1325 by linking inclusive security and justice Programme, under Women’s leadership Security and Justice.
Specific tasks and responsibilities
The Provincial officer will support the daily management and implementation of the project by day to day supervision of project and coordination of activities in the province level.
Collects regular information of the implementation of the project and reports about the results to Women’s Leadership Security and Justice Unit, country office.
3: Communication and coordination:
To be familiar with the cultural, socio-economic and political environment of the region and province where s/he works.
Remain in close contacts with local community leaders, government entities and CSOs to immediately pass on their problems regarding the implementation of the project to the country office for timely solution.
4: Monitoring and supervision:
Monitor and review the overall project implementation at the province level and provides advice and support to resolve issues in the field level.
The Safhe Jaded: Implementing the Afghan NAP 1325 by linking inclusive security and justice Programme is a three year project. The project is to be implemented in direct support of the implementation of the Afghan National Action Plan 1325. The Programme aims to contribute to increased security and justice for women and girls in Afghanistan. To do so, it will 1) leverage training and capacity building to both Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and civil servants around the implementation of the Afghan NAP 1325; 2) contribute to changes in attitudes and belief that will enable inclusive security and inclusive justice to produce better protection outcomes for women and girls; and 3) advocate around the implementation of laws and policies in favor of inclusive security and justice in Afghanistan.
The Programme will be implemented at the central level of government in Kabul as well as in six provinces: Balkh, Daykundi, Herat, Nangarhar, Paktiya and Parwan. Except for the south of Afghanistan, these provinces cover a reasonable distribution among northern, eastern, western and central provinces.
